MESSAGE TO MAY 2012 GRADUATES:

Spring Commencement ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012.  Each ceremony will last approximately 2 hours.  Tickets are required for guests attending the ceremony in Halton Arena (see additional information below).

10 a.m. Ceremony

• College of Education
• College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
• The Graduate School

3 p.m. Ceremony

• College of Arts and Architecture
• The Belk College of Business
• College of Computing and Informatics
• The William States Lee College of Engineering
• College of Health and Human Services
• The Graduate School    

COMMENCEMENT TICKETS

• Tickets are required for guests attending the 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Commencement ceremonies to be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012.  Children under the age of 2 will not require a ticket if they can sit comfortably on an adult’s lap for the ceremony that will last approximately 2 hours.  Tickets will be distributed beginning at the Graduation Fair (March 12-14; 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Campus Bookstore).

• After the January 31, 2012 deadline for students to apply for May 2012 graduation, a determination will be made regarding the number of tickets each candidate will be eligible to receive. 

• Candidates for graduation will be sent an email (to their @uncc.edu email address) with ticket information and this website will be updated as soon as ticket information is available.
  
   

COMMENCEMENT VIEWING OPTIONS:

• We will stream live video of each ceremony over the Internet.

• For those in the Charlotte area, a live broadcast of each ceremony will be shown on Time Warner Cable – Channel 22.

• An Overflow Viewing Room with theater-style seating and a large screen will be available for guests without tickets.

Important Notice to Graduation Applicants: Be sure to bring your Student ID card with you to check-in on Commencement day. If you do not have an ID card, be sure to bring your 800 ID number.
