Message to May 2012 Graduates

Commencement - Saturday, May 12, 2012

Tickets are required for guests attending the ceremony in Halton Arena.  Each ceremony will last approximately 2 hours.

10:00 AM Ceremony:   College of Education, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, The Graduate School

3:00 PM Ceremony:     College of Arts + Architecture, Belk College of Business, College of Computing and Informatics, The William States Lee College of Engineering, College of Health and Human Services, The Graduate School

Commencement Day Check-In

Student I.D. Card – On Commencement day, undergraduate and masters candidates should bring their student I.D. card to check in and receive their name card for lineup.  (Doctoral candidates will not need to bring their I.D. card or pick up a name card.)

Additional Viewing Options

1. Overflow Seating – For guests without tickets, a Remote Viewing Room with theater-style seating and a large screen is available.  A live broadcast of the ceremony can be viewed in this location.  All guests without a ticket should check in at the Arena Ticket Office on Commencement day to be directed to the Remote Viewing Room.
2. Streaming – The ceremonies will be streamed live on the Internet. Access to this site can be found at the following link:
   Live Streaming Video. The Morning Ceremony broadcast will begin at 10:00 AM. The Afternoon Ceremony broadcast will begin at 3:00 PM.
3. Channel 22 – For those in the Charlotte area, a live broadcast of each ceremony will be shown on Time Warner Cable – Channel 22. The Morning Ceremony broadcast will begin at 10:00 AM. The Afternoon Ceremony broadcast will begin at 3:00 PM.
